MILLIPEDES MILLIPEDES

MILLIPEDES MILLIPEDES!

Be careful because millipedes are highly venomous.

Habitat
Millipedes live under a rock or a damp log. They live in the bush and gardens in New Zealand.

Diet
The Millipede diet is small insects and the big millipedes eat snails and worms. If they can't find food they will scavenge and eat compost.

Protection
Millipedes protect themselves by using their exoskeleton. Another way they
protect themselves is by crawling into a ball.

Adaptations
They have developed a hard shell (exoskeleton) for survival. It helps them survive because it makes them hard to eat. It is like metal armour.
